    Image processing by neural networks

    How it went

A hands-on demonstration explained how neural networks process an image and took participants through the journey from data to model to a simple deployment demonstration.

The workshop was built as a practical way into the issue of computer vision. The participants went through the preparation of image data, the design of a simple neural network and the testing of the model on a specific task. It also included a discussion about which steps have the biggest impact on the results and why image preprocessing is so important. Thanks to the connection of theory and implementation, the participants took away a more comprehensive idea of how a functional vision pipeline is created.
