Classification and regression role in the world of banking

    How it went

At the workshop, we showed how classification and regression tasks are used in banking and how to design meaningful predictive models over financial data.

In this workshop, participants looked at two key machine learning tasks – classification and regression – in the context of a banking environment. Client scoring, risk estimation and prediction of numerical values over structured data were presented using practical examples. The workshop was also devoted to the choice of metrics, the interpretation of results and the limits of models when working with sensitive data. The result was an overview that combined data analytics with real scenarios of the financial sector.
